... that I wanted to photograph my dinner.

She didn't know I intended to blog it or, probably, what a blog is so I didn't bother explaining. I hope I didn't come off too crazy!

I still regret not snapping a shot of the pile of crabs we got over the summer, so I couldn't let this pass me by. Perfect lobster tail, homemade twice-baked potato ...

Mmmm!

Had my stepmother-in-law not had a terrible cold, she would have also made a crab bisque. While it, too, would have been fantastic, I surely would have exploded!

Not pictured: chocolate-raspberry ganache cake for dessert, that I could not pass up. Also fabulous, but storebought (due to her terrible cold). She was very apologetic, needlessly.

Since my husband and I don't eat meat, the Christmases we spend with my father-in-law and his wife are always seafood feasts. Clearly, they don't mind!

We've had lobster tails a few times, sushi platters (though, that was just an appetizer!), and once, steamed king crab legs.

We always look forward to it. We always eat too much!
