remember this disaster?
You know, the one that spawned the whole NaBloCleanMo movement?
I am proud to report I have completed the closet clean-out portion. Look at all the room for new clothes! Or, um, room to put away the pile of clothes on top of the dryer that I haven't shown you yet ...
And, of course, you remember the shoe "after" photo. It makes me so happy I'm posting it again:
I was a little concerned that they fit so perfectly. What will happen when I buy new shoes?
OK, confession. I already have bought one pair since this photo was taken. There is a pair of loafers above that have joined the casual sneakers in the rack in the closet.
What will happen when I buy more new shoes?
Fortunately, I don't have stifle my shoe habit. I realized there are three pairs of peep-toe shoes in the rack right now. It's now gotten cold, so they are most likely out-of-season. They can join the others under the bed!
And after that, I can put rarely worn dress shoes in under-bed boxes, too.
See? I've got a solution that will help me stay organized!

Very good.
My closet is due for another cleaning. Again.
Thanks! It's been way too long since I've gone in there last.
This time, I was much better about getting rid of things that I haven't worn in years!
i am waaaay jealous that you have empty hangers in your closet. i sortof leave a few things dirty just so i don't run out.
Not long ago, I bought more hangers when I ran out! I just added a lot to my give-away pile. I feel much lighter!
Wow, that's a lot of work. And a lot of shoes! Where did you find the closet floor rack? Mine is designed so that the shoes slide off if they don't have a high heel to hook onto the bar. So my shoes are just piled up all around it...it is a piece of clutter in itself.
I can't remember where the rack in the closet came from. Probably Target or Bed Bath & Beyond. Shoes always did fall off -- even with a heel, sometimes my size 6 1/2 shoes weren't quite long enough to fit the bars!
After reorganization, only sneaker-type shoes are on the rack now, the rubber soles have enough grip to stay put!
